The process is similar to that of traditional dental implants, which involves surgically placing the implants, waiting for them to fuse into the bone during a healing period of about 4-6 months and then returning for the placement of your customized dental arch restoration. Recovery Following Your All-On-X Implants Procedure

Following your All-on-X implants surgery, our team will provide you with detailed post-op care instructions, ensuring you have a smooth and quick recovery.

Initial Healing

It is normal to experience some discomfort and swelling after the first few days from the procedure. Our dentists may prescribe medication to help you manage your pain or recommend an over-the-counter medication. You may also have some bleeding in the first 24-48 hours but that will gradually subside. Make sure to get plenty of rest.

In the beginning, we recommend you stick to a soft food diet including foods that are easy to chew and swallow such as soups, mashed potatoes, yogurt and smooth bowls. Once your jawbone begins to heal, you can slowly introduce more firm foods into your meals, but be sure to stay away from anything that is hard, crunchy or sticky as that can get stuck in your implants and foster irritation.

Since the healing process takes several months, our front desk team will schedule follow-up appointments to make sure you are healing properly and check in on you.
